The cost of living and supply-chain issues have been at the center of every Washingtonian’s worries.
The success of the United States economy has always been dependent on the success of small businesses due to their ability to create new jobs, bolster innovation, and enable financial independence.
Our current representatives are neglecting middle class workers whose livelihoods are tied to these small businesses. Moving forward, we must prioritize them, providing permanent tax breaks and immediate financial aid, while allowing them to operate freely without excessive government intervention.
The current immigration system is a catastrophe, and the federal government must take permanent steps to secure the Southern border, while creating a clear path to residency for those who have fallen victim to the broken immigration system created by both parties of our government.
At this point in time with the millions of undocumented individuals living in the states, we must take a humane and considerate approach. Law-abiding immigrants who have lived here for over ten years should not face the looming threat of deportation daily.
We need legislation that provides a direct means of achieving permanent residency for these individuals and their families who contribute to the fabric of our great nation.
These individuals should not be considered as “illegals” but rather as the proud Americans they are!
Despite being one of the wealthiest nations in the world, our education system is far inferior to other countries, and on most lists, we don’t break the top twenty best.
Our children are reduced to numbers on standardized tests, and many complain about having teachers that can’t in fact teach. It is shameful that 65% of our nation’s fourth graders read below their grade level. Are we really setting up our kids for success? It seems that our leaders are instead implementing politically charged ideologies into schools without putting the focus on reading, math, science, technology, and more.
We must learn from the countries that are leading in education, we must hold our teachers to a higher standard, we must foster skills that help students grow holistically, and we must create a system that generates a love of learning.
Washington state currently has an annual per student budget of approximately twenty thousand dollars. Are you really getting a twenty thousand dollar a year education for your student?
Let’s not hold our kids back but instead encourage them to be creative, critical, and independent thinkers!
I believe taking care of our earth and environment is a moral duty for all people around the world. I support finding effective renewable energy and believe it needs to be left to the innovators, scientists, and free market to provide the best course of action for bettering our environment.
Government regulations and interference are the primary reasons we’ve been hindered from implementing solutions. New technology as a result is slow to the market and the intelligent people who want to make real change are kept out because the government is polluting the market with dirty money to keep the status quo.
This is why I’m against government lobbying by special interest groups. The free market works when the government is left out. We owe it to our beautiful planet that takes care of us, to take care of it.
Representatives must pursue trade treaties that are in the best interests of U.S. workers.
It is the federal government’s role to ensure our trade agreements are accelerating internal economic growth rather than destroying manufacturing jobs, a result of actions taken by prior administrations.
I am committed to passing federal legislation that protects our workers, ensures laws do not hinder trade, and keeps the cost of living down for Washingtonians.
Affordable and quality healthcare should go hand-in-hand and is an obvious necessity for all Americans.
The greatest problem to our healthcare system is big pharmaceutical corporations lobbying our politicians and corrupting them. This practice should be made illegal.
Pharmaceutical companies presently sell their medications to our European counterparts at a discount while passing the bill on to the American consumer. Our politicians are fully aware of this but they do not care and are themselves contributing to this problem. I will fight and take on big pharma to fight for Americans, for better healthcare quality, seeking affordable healthcare for all.
Prescription drug costs and health insurance are unaffordable. We need to sustain and better the quality of healthcare Americans are provided, all while investing in cures, holding big pharma accountable, reducing procedure wait times, lowering overall costs, and supporting our healthcare professionals.
We must also open free competition for insurance providers across state lines so that people have the opportunity to get the best health insurance at the best possible price, with the freedom to choose what is best for them and their families.
I will fight for healthcare solutions that make sense for all Washingtonians!
Federal funds are not being used responsibly to tackle the homelessness problem in Washington state.
We need to make sure federal funds are actually being allocated to solving homelessness in Washington, rather than being spent frivolously on solutions that simply do not work. We need to hold elected officials accountable and have transparency with where and how the funds are being used.
In addition to this, did you know that about 11% of our veterans are living homeless within the US? This is a complete tragedy and must be solved for.
“Learn to do good; seek justice, reprove the ruthless, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.” Isaiah 1:17
As the most powerful nation in the world we must provide our military with the most advanced military hardware. Big corporations should be stopped from lobbying military contracts and our war heroes should not be receiving second-rate military hardware. It is imperative that we allow small businesses to not be shut out just because big corporations have the lobbying money.
Our military women and men should be treated like gold and like the heroes they are. We must provide them and their families with complete security for their futures and with open healthcare (medical treatments at any facilities that can treat them for their specific conditions).
Our military families and veterans should also receive subsidized schooling at any college they qualify to.
I support the development of cryptocurrencies and support keeping them as a private means of exchange, not as federally legal tender so as to keep the government out of peer to peer transactions. There should be a reclassification of crypto as an asset class and a complete removal of taxation for peer to peer cryptocurrency transactions.
America has a need for advancement and innovation in our currency to a more stable non-inflationary form of currency that should be in the hands of the people to control.
We should encourage the use of technology and digital payment platforms to bring about a more level playing field, promoting equal opportunity.
Student loans have become a predatory practice, dispensing funds that many will never be able to pay back, even if the education they receive is inadequate or fraudulent.
As a result, students often leave college drowning in debt without degrees that lend themselves to financially stable jobs.
The system must be restructured to allow loans that match students to degrees that will provide real value, with opportunities for debt and interest-rate forgiveness.
